The name of this deep amber-coloured, English-style IPA is a homage to the secluded red sand beach of San Blas, located just below the village of Nadur on the island of Gozo. San Blas is a full-bodied IPA, dominated by the explosive character of a blend of carefully selected hops that bring out the citrus and peach notes of the American hop varieties, along with the more subtle and spicy notes of the British ones.
Lord Chambray, founded in 2014 in Xewkija, Gozo, is the first craft brewery in the Maltese Islands. Based in the Gozitano Agricultural Village, it produces unfiltered, unpasteurized, and naturally carbonated beers, often using local ingredients like prickly pear, carob honey, and wild fennel. With over twenty styles ranging from crisp lagers to rich stouts, the brewery has earned international awards and in 2024 marked its 10th anniversary. Known for its sustainability and innovation, Lord Chambray also introduced Malta’s first craft beer in cans.
